About this home
A stunning blend of traditional character and contemporary living, with incredible natural light, generous open plan accommodation and a private garden. Set within an impressive period building, this beautiful two bedroom flat offers something genuinely different, with a spectacular glazed sunroom and peaceful village surroundings.
Five things our current owners love about their home:
1. We absolutely love how much natural light fills our home. With large windows, generous ceiling heights and the beautiful glazed sunroom, there`s always a lovely bright atmosphere. Even on quieter days, the rooms feel open and welcoming, and being able to enjoy so much daylight makes a real difference.
2. Having such a generous lounge and dining area has been wonderful. We love having plenty of room to relax, entertain friends and enjoy meals together without ever feeling restricted. The open layout makes the whole space feel sociable and comfortable, and it`s one of the things we`ve appreciated most about living here.
3. One of our favourite things about living here is how peaceful everything feels. It`s lovely coming home to such calm surroundings, away from the noise and rush of busier areas. Whether we`re relaxing indoors or enjoying the garden, there`s a wonderful sense of tranquillity that makes this home feel special.
4. We`ve really enjoyed being part of such a welcoming community. Everyone is friendly, and there`s a lovely atmosphere among the neighbours. It`s reassuring to live somewhere that feels so pleasant and established, and that sense of community is something we`ll genuinely miss.
5. Our garden is definitely one of our favourite places. We love having our own private outdoor space where we can relax, entertain or simply enjoy some fresh air. It benefits from sunshine throughout the day right through until sunset, which has made spending time outside an absolute pleasure, especially during the warmer months.
Grand architecture, exceptional living space and an abundance of natural light make this a property that truly stands out from the crowd. Combining the character of an impressive traditional sandstone building with contemporary interiors, spectacular glazed living space and a remarkable connection to the outdoors, Gartloch Avenue offers a wonderful lifestyle in a truly distinctive setting, with breathtaking, uninterrupted views directly towards the Campsie Hills.
The real centrepiece of this home is the magnificent lounge and dining room. With its impressive proportions, high ceilings and abundance of natural light, this is a space that immediately captures attention. Soft pink walls and rich green furnishings create a wonderful combination of style and comfort.
There is plenty of room for generous seating and a substantial dining table, making this an ideal setting for everything from quiet evenings to entertaining family and friends. Large windows also provide a lovely outlook towards the garden.
The contemporary kitchen adds another dimension, with dark timber-effect cabinetry, coordinating worktops and striking black marble-effect splashbacks. Integrated cooking appliances, a gas hob and excellent cupboard space create a stylish yet practical environment for everyday cooking.
The welcoming hallway leads to two individually styled bedrooms. The first is a bright and generously proportioned room, with beautiful tall windows, high ceilings and neutral decor creating an airy, relaxing atmosphere. A separate walk-in closet provides excellent additional storage.
The second bedroom has a completely different personality, with vibrant pink walls creating a bold and cosy retreat. This room also benefits from its own private ensuite shower room and large fitted wardrobes. The large glazed panels above the doors allow natural light to flow into the room, creating a welcoming and comfortable bedroom space.
A separate main bathroom features a white suite with bath, WC and wash hand basin, complemented by fresh, neutral finishes.
One of the property`s most exceptional features is the spectacular glazed sunroom, stretching along the rear of the home. Floor-to-ceiling glazing fills this impressive space with natural light and creates a beautiful connection to the outdoors. Whether enjoying a morning coffee, reading in the sunshine or simply admiring the garden, this is a room that offers something truly special.
Glazed doors open onto a private decked terrace, providing the perfect setting for outdoor dining and relaxing in warmer weather. Beyond the decking lies a beautifully maintained private garden, complete with a generous lawn, established planting and attractive surroundings. Enjoying sunshine throughout the day and into the evening, this peaceful outdoor retreat is ideal for entertaining, relaxing or simply making the most of the warmer months.
The property also benefits from its own private allocated parking space, included within the title deeds, providing convenient and secure off-street parking.
The location offers excellent connectivity, with convenient access to motorway links connecting Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and Carlisle, all approximately five minutes away. Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre is also less than ten minutes away, offering an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, cafes, a cinema and supermarkets.
