About this home

No chain in sight, just Old Quarter living with a garden gate to your own garage and the park a short stroll away. That’s a lot to like!

Set on the fringes of Stourbridge’s much-loved Old Quarter, this three-bedroom mid-terraced home sits among a characterful mix of decorative Victorian and Edwardian houses. Inside, there’s a generous lounge/dining room, a kitchen and a downstairs WC, with three bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. Outside, a flat, private garden leads through a rear gate to a garage in a nearby block. And it comes with no onward chain.

We asked the owner what makes the area so special...

“I’ve owned it for over 20 years and it’s been a fantastic long-term rental. It’s a good neighbourhood, and you’re close to everything. The town centre, the bus station and the train station are all close by, and so is Mary Stevens Park. There’s a great selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs in Stourbridge and the surrounding area, and getting around is very easy. Greenfield Primary and Oldswinford C of E Primary are both very good schools.”

What about the house itself?

You step in through a small entrance porch into the hallway, which has a handy understairs store with power. The lounge/dining room is the heart of the house, with a window to the front and a chimney breast as a natural focal point. There’s room to set up a sofa at one end and a dining table at the other, which makes it easy to cook, eat and relax together. The kitchen sits at the back, and a rear lobby gives you the back door and a downstairs WC, which is great for muddy boots and busy mornings.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has built-in wardrobes, the second bedroom looks out over the garden, and the third bedroom works well as a nursery, a child’s room or a home office. A family bathroom and a landing cupboard complete the first floor.

Our agents say...

The garden is a real bonus here. It’s flat and well kept, with paved seating areas for morning coffee or evening drinks, a neat lawn for the kids to play on, and a brick-built potting shed that’s ideal for green-fingered buyers or for keeping the bikes and tools tidy. Then there’s the rear gate leading out to the garage, and having garage parking this close to the Old Quarter is a fantastic addition.

The location is hard to beat. Greenfield Gardens sits beside the primary school, with a children’s play area for after-school runarounds. Mary Stevens Park is a short walk away, with its lake, bandstand, tennis courts, play area and a cafe in the tea gardens, and it hosts outdoor live music through the summer. Stourbridge town centre is just as easy to reach for shopping, independent cafes and a night out. When it’s time to travel further, the Stourbridge Town shuttle connects with Stourbridge Junction for trains towards Birmingham and Worcester.

With a long track record as a rental, this home would suit investors just as well as first-time buyers and young families. And with no onward chain, it’s a straightforward move into one of Stourbridge’s most sought-after pockets. Get in touch today and come and see it for yourself.
